Alienware 15 & Alienware 17 to Receive AMD RX 470 Treatment

Alienware updates its portfolio of gaming notebooks with AMD’s Radeon RX 470 GPUs. That’s the full Radeon RX 470 desktop part on a notebook size environment similar to what Nvidia did with their GTX 10 series of cards. AMD prepared for this day since COMPUTEX 2016, stating that their RX 470 and RX 460 graphics are slated to be released on notebooks as well but it is just recently that they’ve finally full-filled the promise. Well, half of the promise since the RX 460 based notebooks are still no where to be found.

Now the Alienware 15 and 17 are the first DELL/Alienware designed notebooks with the RX 470 inside. The new notebooks looks really good which is just proper for a gaming oriented device. It looks edgy, and has an industrial feel to them. Really far from the current gaming notebooks that looks like they’ll transform into a small robot when startled.
