ASUS today announces a meaty update to their ROG STRIX GL502 gaming notebook, featuring the GTX 1060 and the GTX 1070 inside. These are full desktop class Pascal GPUs we are talking about specifically the GP106 and the GP104 classes.

Initially, the GL502 series comes with the GTX 970M which is a cut down version of the GTX 970 to make it more suitable for notebook application. Now that Maxwell is out, and Pascal is in, the advancements in power efficiency enables Nvidia to unleash a flagship desktop class GPU for mobile gaming.

The GL502 with the GTX 10 series GPUs features two SKUs – the GL502VM with teh GTX 1060 and the GL502VS with the GTX 1070. Both models should feature an Intel Core i5 or i7 CPU, with 8GB to 16GB of DDR4 memory under one fancy 15.6″ form factor. No info about pricing and availability yet but these are definitely going to be sold at the Philippine market.
