ASRock has introduced the Challenger RX 9050 8 GB, a new graphics card built around AMD’s just announced Radeon RX 9050 GPU. It’s the newest addition to the RX 9000 series and slots in as a mainstream option using AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture.
What’s Inside
The RX 9050 carries over the core RDNA 4 features found in AMD’s higher end cards, including third generation ray tracing and up to 16 compute units. It also supports AMD’s HYPR-RX and FSR technologies for upscaling and frame generation.
On the connectivity side, the card gets DisplayPort 2.1a and PCI Express 5.0, both current generation standards, along with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory.
Cooling and Build
The ASRock Challenger RX 9050 8 GB runs a boost clock of up to 2600 MHz. Cooling comes from a dual fan setup using ASRock’s Striped Axial Fan design paired with what the company calls Ultra-fit Heatpipes.
A LED indicator is built into the shroud, and a metal backplate reinforces the card’s structure. ASRock is also using its Super Alloy Graphics Card components, which the company ties to more stable long term operation.

ASRock says the Challenger RX 9050 8 GB will be available through retail and system integrator channels in the LATAM and Asia Pacific regions. No pricing has been announced yet.
