ASRock at COMPUTEX is broadening its range of gaming monitors with a set of new models, focusing on high refresh rates and OLED technology. These additions indicate the company’s continued investment in meeting the demands of competitive and enthusiast gamers.
PG27QFW2A
The most prominent model is the ASRock PG27QFW2A, a 27-inch monitor featuring a 400 Hz refresh rate and a QHD (2560×1440) resolution. It uses an IPS panel, which is known for offering wide viewing angles and more consistent color reproduction compared to TN panels. The high refresh rate is particularly relevant for competitive gamers who require minimal motion blur and reduced input lag in fast-paced games. Combining QHD resolution with a 400 Hz refresh rate positions this monitor as a practical option for users who prioritize both clarity and responsiveness.
Another high-refresh-rate model being highlighted is the ASRock PG27FFX2A, a 27-inch Full HD (1920×1080) display capable of reaching 520 Hz. First introduced in 2024, this monitor is aimed at esports players or those involved in professional-level gaming, where refresh rate takes precedence over resolution. The PG27FFX2A is designed to reduce screen tearing and input delay as much as possible, which can be advantageous in scenarios where rapid reaction times are critical.
PGO32UFSA
ASRock is also introducing four OLED gaming monitors: two in the 27-inch range and two at 32 inches. Among them is the PGO32UFSA, a 32-inch 4K display with a 240 Hz refresh rate. It uses a QD-OLED (Quantum Dot OLED) panel from Samsung. QD-OLED combines the deep black levels and high contrast of OLED with improved brightness and color range enabled by quantum dot technology. This makes it suitable not only for gaming but also for tasks where color accuracy and visual detail are important, such as video editing or digital content creation.
ASRock has not yet provided release dates or pricing for any of these new displays, so it is unclear when they will be available to consumers or how they will be positioned in the broader market in terms of pricing.
