ASUS has released the ASUS GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua Edition after the successful launch of the RTX 3070 and RTX 3080 Noctua Edition graphics cards.
ASUS basically slapped the card with two award-winning NF-A12x25 PWM fans along with a new heatsink, significantly improving the thermals and acoustics compared to the original TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4080.
Now the heatsinks of the RTX 3070 and RTX 3080 Noctua Editions were already tailored in terms of size and heat-pipe layout. However, the heatsink of the RTX 4080 Noctua Edition has been completely redesigned to achieve maximum thermal efficiency.
Basically, they added a vapor chamber, five 8mm heatpipes instead of two (plus three 6mm ones instead of six). That said, the new RTX 4080 Noctua Edition now provides a significantly better cooling performance compared to the original TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4080.
This allows it to operate with slower fan speeds and, combined with the class-leading efficiency of the NF-A12x25 fans, run quieter than any other air-cooled card in its class.
The ASUS GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua Edition graphics card is priced at $1,649 USD and will be available worldwide very soon. You may learn more about it here.
