Last week, ASUS released the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED in the Philippines. This is the the world’s first 17.3” Foldable OLED (FOLED) touchscreen based portable laptop that folds down instantly to a compact 12.5” size, making it smaller (not in depth) than a sheet of photocopier paper for easy carrying.
The 17 Fold also comes with a color-accurate 2.5K (2560 x 1920) slim-bezel NanoEdge Dolby Vision screen. It is also PANTONE Validated with TÜV Rheinland-certified low blue-light levels so it is a pretty capable touch display. For calls, it comes with a 5 MP AI webcam, an HD IR camera for faster face login and a color sensor for automatic brightness and color temperature control.
The unit should come with a detachable ASUS ErgoSense Bluetooth keyboard and touchpad. This turns it into a powerful fully-featured laptop with a 12th Gen Intel Core processor and a stunning Harman Kardon-certified quad-speaker Dolby Atmos audio system. Graphics is powered by the Intel Iris Xe iGPU.
Price is about ₱219,995 PHP. Pretty steep but it is a given for such an innovative product. Learn more about it here.
