Hot at Computex 2024 is the COLORFUL Neptune Open Frame PC. This is a well-made desktop PC, featuring an all aluminum chassis and purpose built components for open frame usage.
The Neptune PC is an all-in-one unit, with water cooled CPU and GPU to minimize dust build-up. Its open frame design also emphasizes on serviceability or maintenance – making it an ideal case for prosumers.
Specification wise, the Neptune rocks a COLORFUL iGame Z790D5 Neptune i92T motherboard, the iGame GeForce RTX 4090 Neptune OC-V and 2 TB of NVMe SSD.
The open frame case also offers “full-cover” liquid cooling, which means it cools the CPU and critical areas of the motherboard. It is safe to assume one of those areas is the VRM. I was told it will support other high-end COLORFUL motherboards as well.
Finally, COLORFUL will offer the Neptune in two variants: all-in-one and barebones. The all-in-one or pre-assembled version will come with an Intel Core i9 processor, 2 TB SSD, and the Neptune series for the motherboard. It will not come with the Neptune GPU – based on what I heard.
As for the barebone version, you will get the case and the motherboard alone – but you will get an option to choose more components before shipping. Price for the Neptune PC is not available yet.
