Couchbase has integrated NVIDIA NIM microservices into its Capella AI Model Services to simplify the deployment of AI applications. This partnership, as part of the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software platform, allows enterprises to effectively run generative AI (GenAI) models with improved security, scalability, and performance.
Capella AI Model Services, which are part of Capella AI Services, offer managed endpoints for large language models (LLMs) and embedding models, ensuring that organizations meet privacy and latency requirements. By leveraging GPU-accelerated performance, the platform enhances agentic AI and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) capabilities, enabling businesses to develop high-performance AI applications while maintaining model flexibility.
“Enterprises need a robust data platform to support the full AI application lifecycle—from development to deployment and optimization,” said Matt McDonough, SVP of Product and Partners at Couchbase. “By integrating NVIDIA NIM microservices, we provide customers the ability to run their preferred AI models securely while optimizing performance and ensuring seamless integration with transactional and analytical data.”
A Unified AI Experience with NVIDIA AI Enterprise
Developing AI-driven applications entails challenges such as ensuring agent reliability, preventing privacy breaches, and managing complex data infrastructures. Capella AI Model Services address these issues by unifying AI models and data into a single platform. The service supports real-time agentic operations, captures conversation transcripts, and enhances model accuracy with features like semantic caching, guardrail creation, and agent monitoring with RAG workflows.
The integration of NVIDIA NIM accelerates agent delivery by simplifying model deployment, maximizing resource efficiency, and enhancing performance. With access to pre-tested LLMs and NVIDIA NeMo Guardrails, organizations can boost AI reliability while implementing safeguards against AI hallucinations and policy violations.
“Couchbase’s integration with NVIDIA AI software empowers developers to rapidly deploy, scale, and optimize AI applications,” said Anne Hecht, Senior Director of Enterprise Software at NVIDIA. “With NVIDIA NIM microservices, enterprises gain access to optimized models that deliver low-latency performance and enterprise-grade security for real-time AI applications.”
