Gainward Launches GeForce RTX 3060 Python II OC

Yet another RTX 3060 this side of 2026.

Gainward has announced the GeForce RTX 3060 Python II OC, a factory-overclocked graphics card built on Nvidia’s RTX 3060 chip. It ships with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 192-bit bus and a dual-fan cooler, positioned for budget-focused gaming and light content creation.

This is yet another RTX 3060 card entering the market despite the chip being nearly five years old at this point.

Gainward points to the RTX 3060’s long run as the most-used GPU on the Steam Hardware Survey as the reason it’s still building around the chip. The Python II OC is aimed at esports and mainstream 1080p titles rather than anything demanding.

The card’s main selling point is its 12 GB VRAM pool, which Gainward says gives some headroom for students and people just starting out in content creation or entry-level local AI work, where 8 GB cards can run into limits.

The Python II OC has a dual-fan shroud with a carbon design and a full-length backplate to help prevent PCB flex. Vented cutouts on the backplate are meant to help airflow through the heatsink. It also supports Zero RPM idle, so the fans stop entirely during light desktop use.

Clock speeds are set at 1320 MHz base and 1792 MHz boost, with memory running at an effective 7500 MHz over the 192-bit bus. Output is 1x HDMI and 3x DisplayPort.

Gainward hasn’t announced local pricing or availability yet.
