In a significant achievement for Philippine representation on the international stage, Globe has secured a seat on the esteemed board of the GSMA, a global association of mobile network operators.
Ernest Cu, President and CEO of Globe, will represent the company on the GSMA Board, which will serve from January 2025 to December 2026. This appointment emphasizes Globe’s commitment to driving innovation and inclusivity in the mobile telecommunications industry.
The GSMA Board is composed of 26 senior leaders from major telecom companies and independent operators worldwide. The organization plays a pivotal role in fostering technological advancements, ensuring interoperability, and establishing global standards for the mobile industry. Its members collaborate to harness connectivity’s full potential, creating better business environments and driving meaningful societal progress.
As a board member, Globe is poised to influence the future of mobile technology, particularly in championing digital inclusion and expanding access in developing markets.
