The Esports Foundation (EF) and Lenovo have announced an expanded partnership, with Lenovo now serving as a Global Founding Partner of the Esports World Cup 2026 (EWC). The tech giant will supply its Legion gaming hardware across the tournament’s arenas, training facilities, and broadcast operations.
EWC 2026 marks the first time the event will be held in Paris, running from July 6 to August 23. The seven-week tournament will host more than 2,000 players and 200 esports clubs from over 100 countries, competing across 24 games and 25 tournaments for a prize pool exceeding $75 million.
As part of the deal, players will compete on Legion Tower 7i and Tower 5i desktop PCs paired with Legion monitors. Lenovo’s hardware will also be present in broadcast studios, festival zones, and fan areas throughout the event, with Legion laptops, tablets, and peripherals available for attendees to try.
“We are excited to welcome Lenovo as a Global Founding Partner for the Esports World Cup 2026, as we prepare to bring thousands of players and millions of fans to Paris this summer,” said Mohammed Al Nimer, Chief Commercial Officer of the Esports Foundation.
Volker Düring, VP and GM of Lenovo’s Gaming Business under the Intelligent Devices Group, added that the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to giving top esports athletes access to Legion’s gaming devices at the highest level of competition.
One of the highlights of the partnership is the Legion Pro Rollable Concept, a 16-inch laptop with a Lenovo PureSight OLED screen that expands to 21.5 inches and 24 inches. The concept device, first shown at CES 2026, will be available for hands-on demos at the Legion booth during EWC.

This builds on Lenovo’s first EWC appearance in 2025, where the company deployed more than 2,000 Legion devices across tournament operations and broadcast studios. That partnership put Legion branding across all 24 game titles and reached an estimated 750 million viewers worldwide over the course of the event.
