2800mAh Leather Power Bank
Taking a break from our daily routine relieves stress by providing a change of scenery. The excitement of getting ready for a trip can be a euphoric experience and the anticipation will take your mind off daily petty problems that often seem larger than life. So basically, what I am talking about is travelling. Yes! Travelling! Travelling around the world is one of the biggest milestones in our life. As a matter of fact, it also relaxes our minds and give us health benefits.
So what’s about travelling?! Let’s accept the fact that at some point, we are being dependent on our gadgets, and even more so when we’re far from home. One gadget that we mostly use is our mobile phones especially when we travel. Our travel accessories won’t be completed without our mobile phones or cameras. With these travel accessories, you can already take a “Selfie” with a particular place as your background. But sometimes, from taking too much pictures, you’re being unconscious with the battery life of your mobile phones having the tendency that it reaches the low battery level. With this, obviously you need a power bank to keep your mobile phone and other gadgets alive.
Power banks are portable extra batteries or external chargers that are insanely useful especially when you’re on road and don’t have any outlet to charge your mobile devices.
So for those who need external chargers, I’ll be presenting a power bank that will fit in your daily routine outside especially for travelers. Luxa2 came up with this elegant and fashionable power bank, the PL1.

Another amazing product from Luxa2 which comes from a simple packaging covered in a transparent hard plastic box that lets the consumers take a peek of the product. A brief description about the product is also indicated in the front portion of the package that makes the product more interesting to the consumers.
The back portion of the package illustrates the basic parts and features of this elegant power bank.
Aside from the luggage tag design power bank, the package also includes a leather strap, micro USB to USB charging cable and a quick start guide manual.
THE PL1 POWER BANK
Have you seen a power bank that merely looks like a luggage tag? Well if you haven’t, take a look at this sleek and elegant power bank. This PL1 power bank comes with an exquisite slim design wrapped in a high quality PU leather that makes it favorable to the individuals. How do I say this? Oh yeah, lets accept the fact that some of us are too lazy and irritated when our stuff inside our pockets or satchel are heavy or bulky.
Aside from that, the PL1 power bank is also designed for any travel occasions that it’s compact enough to fit into pockets and any other forms of storage for convenience. With this, you may use the leather strap included in the package to make this power bank a fashionable travel accessory.
The logo of Luxa2 including its details (Product No., Capacity, and Output) can be seen at the lower portion of the power bank while the battery capacity LED indicator (4 diagonal holes in this picture), on/off switch and IN and OUT ports are located in the upper portion of the power bank.
It is pretty obvious that the PL1 cannot provide a fully charge device with 2000+ mAh battery due to its limited juice of 2800 mAh. However, Luxa2 is pretty much confident that the PL1 can provide a fully charge IPhone 5 with an extra of 0.5 power since they have indicated this feature in the front portion of the package. But still, let’s check out how will this PL1 performs on different devices as well as its charging hours.
USER EXPERIENCE AND CONCLUSION
First things first, let’s check out how long it will take to charge the power bank in USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and plugging it in a wall socket.
So based from my assessment and I used to present it using a graph, charging the power bank has the same number of hours (3 Hours and 30 Minutes) on USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and plugging it in a wall socket. Well for me, I’m not convinced that charging the power bank on USB 2.0 and 3.0 have the same number of hours with plugging it in a wall socket since charging it on a wall socket regenerates and gives more juice faster to the power bank itself than charging it on USB 2.0 and 3.0 slots.
Next on our performance test is how long the power bank gives juice to our selected mobile phones. So let’s find out.
So again, based from several tests done, charging the Samsung Galaxy S5 with 2800 mAh took less than an hour to charge but it only gives at about 68% of the total battery capacity of the mobile phone. The next mobile phone I tried charging with PL1 was Sony Xperia Z Ultra having battery capacity of 3050 mAh. As expected, the device has been charged 55% of the total battery capacity with more than an hour of its charging hours.
All in all, the PL1 power bank consists of 2800 mAh. In my own opinion, this power bank will not be appreciated for mobile phones with a battery capacity of 2000 and up since it won’t be able to fully charge a single device. Next thing is the leather strap included in the package. Well for me, this thing will be appreciated for those who travels a lot and who likes their stuffs be in a fashionable way. And last thing, the price. Currently, the PL1 power bank is not yet available in the Philippines but you may buy it from Amazon at $39.99. Like just what I’ve said, it won’t be pleasing for consumers who owns a mobile phone with 2000 and up battery capacity and I think that $39.99 is too much for this kind of power bank which only consists of 2800 mAh. But still, let’s thank and give credit to Luxa2 for having such great ideas wherein one of those resulted to this elegant and fashionable PL1 power bank.
