In a significant move for the gaming industry, NVIDIA has announced a collaboration with MediaTek aimed at making its advanced G-SYNC display technology more accessible to gamers around the world. This partnership will integrate NVIDIA’s full suite of G-SYNC technologies into some of the most popular display scalers globally, marking a major shift in how high-performance gaming monitors are produced and priced.

Traditionally, G-SYNC technology required a dedicated module to deliver its signature smooth and tear-free gaming experience. However, with this new collaboration, MediaTek’s scalers will now be equipped with G-SYNC capabilities directly, eliminating the need for a separate module. This not only streamlines the manufacturing process but also reduces costs, potentially lowering the price of high-end gaming monitors.

A standout feature of this partnership is the re-introduction of G-SYNC Pulsar, a new technology set to redefine motion clarity in gaming displays. G-SYNC Pulsar offers four times the effective motion clarity compared to previous generations, while maintaining a variable refresh rate (VRR) that ensures a seamless, tear-free gaming experience.

The first monitors to feature G-SYNC Pulsar technology are set to be released later this year. Among the anticipated models are the ASUS ROG Swift 360Hz PG27AQNR, Acer Predator XB273U F5, and AOC AGON PRO AG276QSG2. These monitors, all boasting a resolution of 2560×1440, will offer 360 Hz refresh rates and HDR support, providing gamers with top-tier visual performance.

“Integrating G-SYNC into MediaTek scalers eliminates the need for a separate G-SYNC module, streamlining the production process and reducing costs,” NVIDIA.

This collaboration between MediaTek and NVIDIA is expected to significantly broaden the reach of G-SYNC technology, making it more accessible to a wider range of gamers and enhancing the overall gaming experience.
