NVIDIA used its Gamescom 2026 briefing to roll out DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, confirm new RTX Remix remasters for Painkiller and Morrowind, detail its upcoming RTX Spark laptop line, and announce a batch of AAA titles and platform expansions coming to GeForce NOW.
DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction is out now
DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction is live today through the NVIDIA app as a one-click upgrade. It runs on a second-generation transformer model that NVIDIA says brings fine-grain control over temporal accumulation at the input stage, a larger AI denoiser for faster reconstruction, and deeper spatial awareness for more accurate lighting, all feeding into sharper 4K ray-traced output from 1080p source frames.

NVIDIA showed an Alan Wake II comparison highlighting better ray-traced shadow detail and more accurate lighting on surfaces like cardboard boxes and awnings versus the previous DLSS 4 model.

Game support is rolling out fast. 007 First Light gets DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction and path tracing on September 15, followed by Control Resonant on September 24. The Streamline SDK and an Unreal Engine plugin for developers are also available now.
RTX Remix keeps growing, DLSS 4.5 comes to it too
NVIDIA’s RTX Remix modding platform has grown from around 150 compatible titles at its January 2025 launch to roughly 170 by Gamescom 2025, and now sits near 250 compatible titles heading into Gamescom 2026. New fan projects highlighted include Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, Prototype, and Fallout 4 remasters, alongside new tool support: InstaMAT2Remix for procedural asset generation, PCSX2 Remix for path-traced PS2 titles, and a Remix-to-Blender integration for managing Remix assets directly in Blender.

DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction is also coming to RTX Remix itself, shown running on a Quake III RTX Remix mod with improved lighting accuracy over the DLSS 4 version.

Painkiller RTX and Morrowind RTX detailed
Painkiller RTX Edition gets a free demo today, August 25. It’s a 15-level remaster built by Merry Pencil Studios, fully path traced and accelerated by DLSS 4.5, with advanced particle VFX, RTX Volumetrics, RTX Neural Radiance Cache, Remix Logic, and RTX IO. It’ll be a free mod on GOG for owners of the original Painkiller.
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind RTX is coming soon, with three locations remastered by modder GokuwasHere: Seyda Neen, the Mages Guild, and Balmora. It’s also fully path traced with DLSS 4.5 acceleration, RTX volumetrics, RTX Neural Radiance Cache, and RTX IO. NVIDIA is inviting contributors to apply to work on the project.
NVIDIA ACE brings AI teammates to PUBG, coming to Aniimo in 2027
Krafton has integrated NVIDIA ACE into PUBG: Battlegrounds to power AI teammates, using an on-device pipeline that takes player verbal input through speech recognition and a small language model, then generates both a verbal response and in-game actions for the AI ally based on current game state.

NVIDIA ACE is also coming to Aniimo in early 2027, letting players speak naturally with their Aniimo companions, teach them new skills, coordinate in-game actions, and get to know individual personalities through conversation. It’s powered by NVIDIA ACE running on RTX GPUs.
NVIDIA App gets new graphics controls
The NVIDIA app’s August update adds a DLSS 4.5 override for one-click upgrades to DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, per-app Resizable BAR controls, and easier access to G-SYNC Pulsar display settings. The override panel lets users set Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and Ray Reconstruction presets individually per game.

Control Resonant GeForce RTX bundle
NVIDIA announced a Control Resonant GeForce RTX bundle available August 25 with select GeForce RTX GPUs, desktops, and RTX 5070-and-up laptops.
RTX Spark laptops arrive this fall
RTX Spark is NVIDIA’s new laptop platform launching this fall, positioned across three pillars: AI workloads with the full NVIDIA AI stack, support for 120-billion-parameter agents with 1M-token context, and the Windows Agent Framework; portability, with chassis as thin as 14 mm and all-day battery life; and gaming/creation performance, with claims of 100 fps at 1440p with ray tracing and DLSS, 8K video editing with 4:2:2 color, and rendering 90 GB 3D scenes with OptiX and RT. Partner laptops shown come from ASUS ProArt, Dell, Microsoft, HP, and Lenovo.

RTX Spark is getting day-one industry backing: EA is bringing its Javelin anticheat system to the platform (shown running Apex Legends), Ubisoft is bringing its catalog including Anno 117: Pax Romana, and Embark Studios is bringing ARC Raiders and THE FINALS.
Gaming’s biggest publishers on board
NVIDIA listed a broad roster of publishers and studios now working across its platforms: BeamNG, Capcom, CD Projekt Red, EA, Embark, Facepunch, Gaijin Entertainment, IOI, Konami, Krafton, miHoYo, NC, NetEase Games, Remedy, Riot Games, Saber, SEGA, Ubisoft, Unreal Engine, Wargaming.net, Warhorse, and Xbox.
