At the GTC 2022 keynote, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang revealed the new GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs. These advanced new GPUs are powered by the ultra-efficient NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture and bring a wave of announcements for NVIDIA Studio and how they dramatically accelerate content creation in all creative fields.

  • 3D artists will experience major performance upgrades from new DLSS 3 technology using AI-powered fourth-generation RTX Tensor Cores, and a new Optical Flow Accelerator to generate additional frames and dramatically increase FPS. This will improve smoothness and speed up movement in the viewport while working in 3D applications such as NVIDIA Omniverse, Unity and Unreal Engine 5.
  • NVIDIA RTX Remix, a new NVIDIA Omniverse tool, puts powerful new game modding tools in the hands of millions of creators. Creators can easily make incredible mods with ray tracing and DLSS for classic games, as well as easily collaborate in Omniverse-connected apps.
  • New dual, eighth-generation AV1 encoders, dedicated hardware on the new GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs, bring significant boosts for both video editors and live streamers. Video editors cut their export times in half, and the updated tensor cores will boost performance in AI Tools by 70%. Live streamers can easily produce high quality streams and benefit from the new NVIDIA Broadcast effects for partners. And with dual encoders, gamers can capture up to 8K60 footage with GeForce Experience.
  • The new September Studio driver is also now available.

NVIDIA also collaborated with a number of partners to bring more advancements to the creative applications of NVIDIA Studio:

  • OBS Studio and Discord will add AV1 support in their next software release.
  • The top video editing apps – DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro via the Voukoder plugin, and Jianying – are adding support for AV1 and dual encoders.
  • New features in the SDKs that power NVIDIA Broadcast will be available in OBS, VTube Studio, and more.

Also featured at GTC was NVIDIA Racer RTX, a demo built in NVIDIA Omniverse, which showcases the latest technologies possible with the new GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs. Step into this special edition of ‘In The NVIDIA Studio’ to see how a global team of NVIDIANs, led by creative director Gabriele Leone, created the stunning new demo with GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs and DLSS 3 in NVIDIA Omniverse.
