T-FORCE has announced its new T-FORCE Z54E PCIe 5.0 SSD. The drive utilizes a Phison E28 controller built on TSMC’s 6 nm process.
Like its fellow Z5 series SSD, It features a PCIe Gen5 x4 interface, supports the NVMe 2.0 protocol, and includes an on-board DRAM cache to aid write performance.
Performance and Specifications
The T-FORCE Z54E SSD will be available in 1 TB, 2 TB, and 4 TB capacities. According to TEAMGROUP, the 2 TB and 4 TB models are capable of sequential read speeds up to 14,900 MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 14,000 MB/s.
The drive is built using high-density 3D TLC NAND flash and incorporates data protection and error correction technologies. Users can monitor the drive’s condition using TEAMGROUP’s S.M.A.R.T. monitoring software.
Cooling and Design
The Z54E comes equipped with TEAMGROUP’s patented ultra-thin graphene heatsink. The company states this design allows the SSD to be compatible with a motherboard’s native M.2 heatsink. For users seeking different thermal management, the drive is also compatible with TEAMGROUP’s optional active or liquid SSD coolers.

TEAMGROUP notes that its manufacturing process adheres to RoHS environmental standards and is halogen-free and lead-free. The product packaging is also specified as fully recyclable.
Availability
Details on pricing and global availability will be provided through TEAMGROUP’s distribution channels at a later date.
