The Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus is out, and ASUS Philippines sent over a full ROG build to show what it can do. This is a top-to-bottom high-end build, from the chip down to the chassis, priced at an estimated ₱220,000.
The price alone puts this build out of reach for most buyers, so this isn’t really about value for money. It’s more about what happens when you stop compromising at every stage of a build. With that in mind, the real question this piece aims to answer is whether these high-end components are actually worth what they cost.

Price and Component Breakdown
Building a PC at this time of year and at this price might raise some eyebrows, but despite the price hikes, there’s a solid case for going all-in. This setup is designed to be the last PC you’ll need for a while, and the components ASUS has included prove it: a Core Ultra 7 chip and RTX 5070 Ti graphics with plenty of headroom, a premium 360 mm AIO instead of the usual trade-offs, and a PSU rated to last a decade, among other top-tier parts.

The total cost of the build comes out slightly higher than the ₱220,000 estimate from earlier, which makes sense given how unpredictable GPU, memory, and SSD prices have been lately.
Processor: Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus
At the heart of this build is the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, packing 24 total cores and 24 threads with a max turbo frequency of 5.5 GHz. That’s enough headroom to handle demanding games and heavy productivity work at the same time without the system breaking a sweat.

I’ve built an Intel Core Ultra 5 PC before, so I’m stoked to see what the Ultra 7 line brings to the table.
Motherboard: ROG Strix B860-F Gaming WiFi
Pairing with the processor is the ROG Strix B860-F Gaming WiFi. Build quality is solid, as expected from ASUS, plus a few AI-branded extras: AI Networking II, a built-in AI Advisor, and an NPU boost that ASUS claims can add up to 24% more AI performance.

On the build side, it’s got the usual DIY conveniences you’d expect from an ASUS board: Q-Release, Q-Slide, and Q-Latch for M.2 SSDs, plus the newly introduced Q-Release Slim for PCIe slots, all tool-free. As for power delivery, the board runs a 16+1+2+1 design that should comfortably handle any Intel Ultra processor.
Since this is an ATX motherboard, there’s also plenty of room for expansion down the line, which is ideal for future-proofing.
Cooling: ROG Ryujin III 360 ARGB Extreme
To keep the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus running cool under load, the build uses the ROG Ryujin III 360 ARGB Extreme AIO cooler.

It costs substantially more than other 360 mm coolers, but the Ryujin III offers VRM cooling along with a customizable 480p LCD running at 60 Hz. It also uses Asetek’s Emma Gen8 V2 pump, commonly found in high-end AIO coolers.
Graphics: ROG Strix RTX 5070 Ti
Handling graphics is the ROG Strix RTX 5070 Ti, a high-end card built on NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture. Between ray tracing, path tracing, frame generation, and AI performance, it’s more than enough for most users, even at 4K, especially with DLSS in the mix.

Positioned at the top of ASUS’s air-cooled lineup, this particular RTX 5070 Ti model features ASUS’s triple-fan cooling system along with beefed-up power delivery and styling.
Memory: T-Force Delta DDR5-6000 Black Edition (32 GB)
32 GB of T-Force Delta DDR5-6000 Black Edition rounds out capacity and speed for gaming, streaming, and multitasking. 32 GB is the right call at this price point. Anything less would feel like a mismatch next to a 24-thread CPU and an RTX 5070 Ti, especially if you’re planning to stream while gaming or keep a heavy browser session running alongside either.

I’ve tested the DDR5-6200 variant of the same series, and I like it not for the looks, but for the reliability. I still have a pair running almost 24/7.
Storage: Corsair MP700 PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSD (2 TB)
The 2 TB Corsair MP700 PRO PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSD is rated for up to 10,000 MB/s read and write speeds, so it handles game loading and large file transfers with ease.
2 TB is a sensible baseline capacity for a build in this tier, enough for a handful of modern AAA installs plus working space for content creation. Anyone doing serious video editing on the side, though, will likely want a second drive down the line.
Power Supply: ROG Strix 1000 W Platinum
The ROG Strix 1000 W Platinum is 80 Plus Platinum certified, ATX 3.1 compatible, and backed by a 10-year warranty. That’s really all you need to know.

Kidding aside, 1000 W gives this build a lot of headroom, which matters less for day-to-day use and more if you ever swap in a higher-draw CPU and GPU down the line without needing to replace the PSU. This particular model uses GaN MOSFET drivers, features voltage sensing technology, and is PCIe 5.1 ready for next-gen graphics cards. And yes, those cables are far nicer than what you’d expect from a stock set. Nothing to dislike here.
Chassis: ASUS A32 PLUS
Everything is housed in the ASUS A32 PLUS, which offers a seamless, unobstructed view of the internal components from every angle. Paired with the Ryujin III’s LCD and the RGB across the board, this build is clearly meant to be seen.

It’s a dual-chamber chassis with plenty of cooling configurations to choose from. This particular build uses a negative airflow setup. It’s the only thing I’d consider changing, and with a simple fan reorientation, it is easily doable.
Passing the Stress Test
Before benchmarking, passing a stress test is a good indication that the system is stable. That means running heavy benchmarks for the CPU, GPU, and memory. OCCT is my favorite tool for this. Not only does it handle stress testing, it also offers a suite of telemetry features we can use to check or troubleshoot the build if something goes wrong.

3D Rendering
Starting with 3D rendering benchmarks, the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus performed decently for a processor, while the RTX 5070 Ti did really well, landing just under the RTX 6000 ADA Edition according to the median scores. Rendering via the CPU is doable, but I’d much rather do it on the GPU, especially with Blender.

Essentials
For essentials, such as app start-up time, video, and web browsing, the system handled everything extremely well. These tests were based mostly on GIMP, Chromium, and Firefox.

Content Creation
Results here were just as strong, basically above 90% of the submitted online results on the platform. PCMark’s content creation suite draws on ImageMagick, PCMark 8’s Video Editing and Media To Go tests, and 3DMark Sling Shot.

Gaming
Now for the most important part: gaming. This build excels at everything I threw at it, at least based on the games I tested. Easier-to-run titles like CS2 show just how fast the system is, with frame rates spiking as high as 600 FPS at 4K. That’s more than enough for even the most competitive gamers. We’re talking about the 1% here, so pair it with a proper gaming display, like the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP and its 540 Hz refresh rate.

Temperature
Thermals matter just as much, since heat directly affects a system’s overall performance. Between the ASUS A32 PLUS and its array of fans, the ROG Ryujin III 360, and the Strix RTX 5070 Ti’s own cooling, this system stays remarkably cool, even with summer in full swing.

It’s good to see all these components working in tandem, with the Ryujin III 360 handling VRM cooling while the A32 PLUS efficiently expels heat out of the case.
Power
As for power draw, this build barely taps into the capacity of the ROG Strix 1000 W Platinum PSU. There’s plenty of untapped headroom here, enough to add another RTX 5070 Ti or a dedicated GPU for AI and workstation use down the line.

Final Thoughts
Going back to the question we opened with: are these high-end parts worth what they cost? Based on how this build performed, yes, if you’re the kind of buyer this setup was built for.
The Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and RTX 5070 Ti pairing has more than enough muscle for 4K gaming, content creation, and everyday productivity, and the benchmarks back that up across the board, from Blender rendering to competitive shooters running well past 500 FPS. Thermals held steady under sustained load, the 1000 W PSU barely broke a sweat, and there’s clearly room to grow into this system rather than out of it, whether that means a heavier CPU down the line, a second GPU, or a shift toward workstation use.
None of that comes cheap. At just over ₱226,000, this build sits well outside what most Filipino gamers or content creators would spend on a single PC, and it was never meant to be a value pick. What you’re paying for is the absence of compromise: a motherboard, cooler, PSU, and case that all work in tandem instead of holding each other back, plus build quality that should hold up for years without needing a refresh.
If the budget is there and the goal is a system that won’t need an upgrade anytime soon, this ROG build delivers on that. For everyone else, it’s a solid look at what going all-in on a PC build actually costs.
