ASUS announced three new Wi-Fi 7 routers at a block screening event for “Fast Tracks, Faster Tech F1: The Movie” held at Wolfgang Premier Cinema in Cubao, Quezon City.

New Router Models and Features
- ROG Strix GS BE18000: This model features tri-band Wi-Fi 7 and offers up to 18,000 Mbps throughput. It includes a 2.0 GHz quad-core CPU, eight internal antennas with six copper tubes, and covers areas up to 3,300 square feet. It also supports Triple-Level Network Security with AiProtection Pro, Security Scan, and Safe Browse.
- ROG Strix GS BE7200X: This model provides dual-band Wi-Fi 7 with up to 7,200 Mbps throughput.
Both ROG Strix GS models are designed for gaming environments, offering low latency and stable connections. They include integrated game acceleration, dedicated gaming ports, and customizable ASUS Aura RGB lighting.
They also offer Smart Home Master technology for network management, including customized SSIDs for Wi-Fi 7 compatibility and IoT device protection, and MLO Network for connecting MLO-supporting devices. VPN support is also included.
- ASUS RT-BE50: This dual-band Wi-Fi 7 router offers up to 3,600 Mbps wireless speeds and 2.5 Gbps wired speeds. It incorporates AI-boosted AiMesh technology for improved coverage and network management, as well as enhanced network security and parental controls. It supports 160 MHz bandwidth and 4K QAM modulation.
Understanding Wi-Fi 7
Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) offers faster speeds and improved stability compared to previous Wi-Fi standards. It addresses network bottlenecks often found with Wi-Fi 6 routers that have 1G WAN ports. Wi-Fi 7 can provide up to 2.4 times the speed of Wi-Fi 6E and includes Multi-Link Operation (MLO) for smoother performance in homes with multiple connected devices.
Many current smartphones (including recent iPhone, Google Pixel, and Samsung Galaxy models) and next-generation gaming consoles like the PS5 Pro support Wi-Fi 7.

Availability
