Lenovo Legion Named Official 2026 F1 Sim Racing Hardware

Lenovo has expanded its multi-year partnership with Formula 1, securing the role of Official Technology Provider for the 2026 F1 Sim Racing World Championship. The deal allows Lenovo’s involvement to go beyond real-world race operations and broadcast delivery into the competitive virtual sphere, equipping the world’s top sim racing talent with professional-grade hardware.

The Hardware Stack

To meet the precision requirements of professional sim racing, Lenovo is deploying a standardized high-performance ecosystem for all competitors:

  • Lenovo Legion Tower 5i (30L, 10): High-frame-rate desktop PCs designed to provide a stable, responsive racing environment.
  • Lenovo Legion Pro 32UD-10 Monitors: 31.5-inch 4K OLED displays featuring deep contrast and ultra-realistic visuals intended to maximize driver immersion.

Operational Footprint

The 2026 season launched at DreamHack Birmingham in March. The remainder of the 12-round championship is hosted at Formula 1’s Media and Technology Centre in Biggin Hill, UK. This facility serves as the hub for F1’s global broadcast operations, further integrating virtual racing into the sport’s core technical infrastructure.

“Partnerships like this are important to our innovation cycle, providing real-world insights that continuously inform and improve the design of our products—just like F1 serves as a premier proving ground for automotive innovation.” — Volker Düring, VP & GM, PC Gaming Business, Lenovo.

For Lenovo, the championship serves as a high-stress testing environment for its Legion gaming line. Powering both the virtual series and the real-world broadcast infrastructure also enables Lenovo to demonstrate the reliability of its “AI-ready” portfolio across 180 global markets. All rounds of the competition will be broadcast live across Formula 1’s digital platforms.
