Samsung just announced the Galaxy Buds4 series, leaning hard into a more modern look compared to the older model’s chick design. The lineup consists of the Buds4 and the higher-end Buds4 Pro, and was announced alongside the Galaxy S26 series with a focus on blending high-fidelity audio with a fit derived from hundreds of millions of ear data points.

Bigger Sound, New Look

The Pro model is the standout here, featuring a wider woofer that increases the effective speaker area by nearly 20%. This hardware shift aims to capture the “throaty pulses” of bass and the resonance of strings that smaller drivers usually miss according to Samsung.

Samsung’s not skipping the AI trend. These buds use “Super Clear Call” technology, which employs machine learning to strip out background noise like a bustling restaurant or a windy day to keep your voice crisp.

• Adaptive ANC/EQ: The Pro model analyzes your ear shape and how you’re wearing the buds in real-time to adjust the noise cancellation and frequency balance.
• Hands-Free Control: You can trigger AI agents like Bixby, Google Gemini, or Perplexity using just your voice. The Pro version even includes “Head Gesture” controls, so you can manage calls without lifting a finger.

Specs and Battery Life

The Buds4 Pro offers slightly better endurance and durability compared to the standard model.

• Battery (Pro): Up to 6 hours of play time with ANC on, totaling 26 hours with the case.
• Battery (Standard): Up to 5 hours with ANC on, totaling 24 hours with the case.
• Durability: The Pro model is rated IP57, while the standard Buds4 sits at IP54.
