XASTRA offers its own software for the LC360 called Display. It’s a straightforward, no-nonsense tool with separate tiles for each setting you need to customize the display. I like that it comes with plenty of themes, color options, layouts, and even replacement fonts to use.

The XASTRA Display also provides system telemetry features and of course, lets you adjust the screen’s orientation.

Temperature

To see how the Octant LC360 ARGB BK handles real thermal loads, we ran it against an AMD Ryzen 9 7900X across three power profiles (65 W, 105 W, and 170 W) using OCCT, testing at 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% fan speeds. The pump was kept running at full speed (around 3000 RPM) throughout the tests to isolate the fan speed as the main variable.

Results were consistent across the board. At 65 W, temps stayed in the high-40s to low-50s°C range regardless of fan speed, showing the radiator has more than enough headroom for lighter loads. At 105 W, temps hovered in the low-to-mid 60s °C, with only marginal gains from ramping fans past 50%. The real stress test came at 170 W, where fan speed made a bigger difference, temps dropped from 72.16 °C at 25% down to 67.42 °C at 100%, a solid 4-5°C swing that shows the fans earning their keep under heavier loads.

Noise

We measured noise output at the same four fan speeds using a sound level meter, tracking both dBA and RPM to get a clear picture of how the fan curve translates to real-world audibility.

At 25% PWM (755 RPM), the Octant LC360 ARGB BK is essentially inaudible over normal case noise at 33 dBA. Bumping up to 50% PWM (1320 RPM) only adds about 2.2 dBA, landing at 35.2 dBA, which is still comfortably quiet for most environments. This 25-50% range is the sweet spot, delivering solid cooling performance (see Temperature section) without any noticeable noise penalty.

Past that point, things escalate quickly. At 75% PWM (1757 RPM), noise jumps to 42.7 dBA, a noticeable increase that’s hard to ignore. Push it to 100% (2083 RPM) and it hits 47.1 dBA, loud enough to be distracting during normal use.

For most gamers, running the fans in that 25-50% range hits the ideal balance of quiet operation and solid cooling, only cranking things up to 75% or higher during actual stress-testing or heavy sustained workloads.

Final Thoughts

The XASTRA Octant LC360 ARGB BK delivers where it counts. It kept the Ryzen 9 7900X in check across all three power profiles, as the single-frame triple-fan array stayed impressively quiet in the 25-50% PWM range, which is where most users will likely run it day to day. The ceramic bearing pump pushes enough flow at full speed to handle sustained loads without the temps creeping up.

Build quality looks and feels great without trying too hard. XASTRA put the attention where it’s most visible, which is the 4-inch display up front. The Display software backing it up is so simple to navigate, it doesn’t bury basic customization behind unnecessary menus. Installation is about as painless as AIOs get, especially on AM4/AM5 boards where the stock backplate does most of the work.

The trade-offs are minor but worth knowing going in. Fan noise ramps up quickly past the 75% mark, so this isn’t a cooler you want screaming under a stress test unless you don’t mind the noise. XASTRA also leaves out thermal paste and a screwdriver, so prepare for those items separately if you don’t already have them on hand.
