GIGABYTE at Computex 2024 unveiled the AI TOP hardware – a product line dedicated to improving AI/LLM performance and reliability.

The initial AI TOP lineup features a motherboard, graphics cards, a power supply and a storage device.

TRX50 AI TOP Motherboard

The TRX AI TOP is a motherboard that supports AMD Threadripper processors. What makes it different from other sTR5 boards is its support for 8x ECC R-DIMMs along with quad PCIe 5.0 slots and support for quad PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSDs.

GIGABYTE AI TOP Hardware Computex 2

It also comes with Wi-Fi 7, dual 10 GbE LAN and dual 40 Gbps USB Type-C port.

RTX 4070 Ti AI TOP 16G

The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti AI TOP is a graphics card featuring 16 GB of GDDR6X video memory, with emphasis on stack-ability with multiple AI TOP graphics cards.

GIGABYTE AI TOP Hardware Computex 5

GIGABYTE  incorporated a TURBO fan cooling system to its design. That also includes the metal cover and backplate in equation, making it an ideal choice for multi-GPU setups or space-restricted systems.

GIGABYTE AI TOP Hardware Computex 4

Combined with a vapor chamber directly touching GPU and copper heat sink, the RTX 4070 Ti AI TOP offers efficient heat dissipation for stacked units which is essential for high LLM workloads.

Radeon Pro W7900 AI TOP 48G

The W7800 AI TOP is GIGABYTE’s AMD offering for the series, featuring the Radeon Pro W7800 workstation grade GPU with a whooping 48 GB of VRAM.

GIGABYTE AI TOP Hardware Computex 6

Similar to the NVIDIA card, it also comes with a blower style cooler and is optimized for multi-GPU configurations. GIGABYTE also offers the slightly lower spec’d W7800 AI TOP 32G.

The UD1600PM PG5 is a 1600 W power supply made to accommodate the AI TOP graphics – especially in their stacked configuration. It is 80 Plus Platinum certified and comes with full support for PCIe 5.0 cards along with the latest ATX 3.1 specifications.

The UD1600PM comes with a 10 year manufacturer warranty – an essential measure for long term support and reliability.

GIGABYTE’s AI TOP 100E is a PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, featuring 7000/5900 MB/s read and write, LDPC (Low Density Parity Check), S.M.A.R.T., TRIM, and 219,000 TBW (Terabyte Written).

With a higher TBW rating, the 100E is expected to perform at its optimal state for a longer period of time compared to normal SSDs of the same capacity and speed rating. The SSD is available in 1 and 2 TB variants.

The AI TOP hardware components ushered a new era for GIGABYTE – especially at the new height of artificial intelligence. With this new lineup rolling out soon, expect the brand to release more in the near future.
