Hot at GIGABYTE‘s Taipei 101 show floor is the X399 AORUS Gaming 7. GIGABYTE’s Socket TR4 motherboard for the AMD X399 chipset.
Featuring support for the upcoming AMD Threadripper HEDT CPUs, the AOURUS Gaming 7 is undoubtedly one of the top-end models that GIGABYTE had on display.
With 64-lanes to work with, the motherboard had all sorts of imaginable PCI Express connectivity inside. That includes support for 3x M.2 PCI-E / SATA SSDs, plus full speed CrossFire and SLI support.
The board also features the DAC-UP 2 for the ALC 1220 audio, which is voltage adjustable. The Sound BlasterX 720 cherry topped this gaming audio system.
The AMD Socket TR4 is definitely huge and while it doesn’t resemble much of Intel’s 2011 socket, it uses the same LGA surface mount technology.
