It’s not everyday that we find something awesome, but this day looks like it, as we stumble upon NCASES’ M1 Enthusiast Grade Mini-ITX case. Looks and form factor alone, I tell you at first glance, this is one unique case.
The M1 started as an ambitious attempt. Actually a brainchild of Two forumers at [H]ard|Forum. Realizing that there really is no enthusiast grade Mini-ITX case fit for their needs, the guys started to gather community input for their mission to build the ultimate Mini-ITX chassis.
Things started to get serious, as Lian-Li offered up their help to build the [H]ard|Forumer’s dream. It’s catchy, since they need to raise a fund of $3,000 to be able to have the guys at Lian-Li manufacturer the very first prototype of the case, which is surprisingly not a sweat, with backers easily funded the goal within 24 Hours, reaching a total of $8, 636 for the duration of campaign at indiegogo.
The NCASE M1 might be small, but it supports a 120/240mil radiator mounted on the side, a single slot-type optical drive, a full length graphics card, and 3 storage drives. Custom water cooling on both the CPU and GFX card is also an option for its size so it really is a huge feat for such a small form factor. No wonder the project/campaign had a great output from enthusiasts, and is now actually taking pre-orders due to be shipped this coming January. Mind you, 600 Units were already sold.
The NCASE M1’s price is currently revolving around 200-260 USD, depending on the type/color of the case, and the ideal location on where you would want it shipped. I must say that the price is just reasonable for the hard-work done, and for those who really wants such a beautiful case. Check out and pre-order yours here, if you must. http://www.ncases.com/
