AMD Ryzen 1700 + Wraith Aspire Cooler For 17, 500 PHP
Hot after the San Francisco Event, AMD Philippines officially announces the Suggested Retail Pricing (SRP) of the Ryzen R7 CPUs. The CPUs are of course the recently announced Ryzen 1800X, 1700X, and the 1700 with the Wraith Spire Cooler. The 65W Ryzen R7 CPU is the only top-end SKU ” officially revealed yet” to feature a boxed cooler.
|1800X||1700X||1700 + Wraith Spire Cooler|
|AMD Philippines Official SRP||27,000 PHP||21,000 PHP||17,500 PHP|
|AMD Official SRP||500 USD||400 USD||330 USD|
|SRP Difference (Approximately)||+7.7% (+2,000 PHP)||+4.7% (+1,000 PHP)||+5.8% (+950 PHP)|
As expected, the AMD Ryzen CPUs features a little higher local price point – but it isn’t all that bad with the current exchange rate thrown into the equation. It is actually reasonable especially if we are going to consider the current SRP of the Intel Core i7 7700K for about 18, 050 PHP without a cooler included. That said, the sweet spot undoubtedly belongs to the AMD Ryzen 1700 CPU with an included cooler and less intimidating local SRP.
As for motherboards, the X370 and B350 platforms are expected to be widely available on March 2. No words about the other platforms yet so if you’re looking to build an SFF Ryzen system, then you have to wait a little longer for the X300 to come out. Learn more from the PR below:
