ASUS, via DIGITIMES, expects their overall monitor shipments to grow 5-10% in the next year. This is backed up by their internal sales performance, highlighting the company’s growth in 2016. According to IDC’s latest number, Asustek currently has around 28-29% market share in Taiwan, while they remain as one of the top-3 vendors in countries including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Turkey.
Commercially, Asustek has also been pushing its monitor products into the enterprise sector. Currently, over 50% of Taiwan’s government and education procurement orders are supplied by Asustek. Contributing further to ASUS’ sales performance.
As for the gaming sector, Asustek’s share in Europe’s gaming monitor market is about 40%, while it remains strong at 50% in North America. Vincent Chiou expects gaming monitor shipments to grow over 100% globally.
