GIGABYTE at Computex 2024 has shown its upcoming X870 / X870E motherboards. These are slated for the recently revealed AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors.
The X870 platform retains the AM5 socket and now supports a maximum of dual PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, as well as USB 4, and two PCIe Gen5 slots for M.2 SSDs. Some boards are also equipped with Intel Thunderbolt 4 and Wi-Fi 7.
GIGABYTE / AORUS X870 models also comes with the following brand exclusive features:
- EZ-Debug Zone consolidates dedicated control buttons and error-indicating LEDs, offering an intuitive and straightforward layout for error message retrieval and control operations.
- WIFI EZ-Plug features an innovative easy-to-install connector design, allowing for the disassembly and assembly of the wireless network antenna to be completed in just a second.
- M.2 EZ-Match is configured with a magnetic positioning design on the heatsink, allows for quick alignment to the correct installation position of the heatsink.
- PCIe EZ Latch Plus is equipped with a remote release mechanism, makes the disassembly of the graphics card effortless.
- Sensor Panel Link feature allows gamers to quickly connect to the secondary screen inside the chassis, creating a personalized style for their machines.
X870E AORUS Master
The X870E AORUS Master features 16+2+2 phases of power and all GIGABYTE exclusive features we’ve stated above in an ATX form factor.
X870E AORUS PRO ICE
Now the X870E AORUS PRO ICE is a white themed motherboard. It is technically similar to the AORUS Master but with the obvious physical differences.
X870E AORUS XTREME
The X870E AORUS XTREME represents GIGABYTE’s premier offering, boasting an 18+2+2 power phase design, all of which is cooled by a series of aluminum fins. This motherboard accommodates dual PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, dual PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 slots, and features all the exclusive sets from GIGABYTE.
B650E AORUS STEALTH ICE
The B650E platform still received some love from GIGABYTE with a STEALTH ICE model. All cables are hidden at the back, making it a clean looking ATX form factor motherboard.
Details on pricing and availability for the X870E motherboards remain undisclosed, but the B650E AORUS STEALTH ICE is rumored to be around ~$300 USD.
