GIGABYTE just showed off a new X79 motherboard at Intel’s Developer Forum. The said motherboard, featuring the X79 chipset and the huge LGA 2011 socket, is designed for the already release Intel Ivy Bridge E micro-processors.
Bearing the G1.Assassin moniker, this board is GIGABYTE’s answer to the enthusiast and gamers at heart, who wants a great audio solution, combined with no frills multi GPU support for the said platform. The board still looks like a bit bland aesthetically, but expect this one to feature a snazzier gaming oriented design at launch.
