Noctua at Computex 2024 showcased a Seasonic Prime TX-1600 power supply fitted with their own NF-A12x25 120 mm fan, complete with the iconic Noctua colorway – down to its sleeved cables.
The Seasonic Prime TX-1600 PSU Noctua Edition features the NF-A12x25 fan, which is highly regarded for its exceptional performance and low noise levels. Noctua actually experimented with larger diameter fan for the power supply, however, the company have found out that their 120 mm model is a much suitable candidate for this particular PSU.
Adding to those findings, Noctua incorporated a specially designed fan grill to minimize turbulence. This custom grill is engineered to enhance airflow, allowing air to move more smoothly and quietly through the PSU.
One of the standout features of the Noctua Edition TX-1600 is its reduced noise levels. The use of the NF-A12x25 fan, combined with the custom fan grill, allows the PSU to operate approximately 8-10 dBA – quieter than the standard Prime TX-1600 model. This makes it an attractive option for those who prioritizes a silent computing environment, such as those with high-performance gaming rigs or professional workstations.
The Seasonic Prime TX-1600 Noctua Edition is slated for release in Q4 2024. No words about its pricing yet but expect it to be higher compared to the base model.
