Next-Gen Graphics and Hardware Specs
The ROG NUC 16 integrates up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU featuring 16 GB of dedicated GDDR7 memory. The system supports NVIDIA DLSS 4.5, utilizing machine learning for Super Resolution and Multi-frame generation to boost frame rates and reduce latency in AAA titles. For local AI workloads, such as running large language models (LLMs) or building personal AI agents, the machine delivers up to 1334 AI TOPS.
The flagship configuration pairs this graphical capability with the Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus (Arrow Lake-HX Refresh) processor, yielding a 2.3% performance increase in 3DMark benchmarks over its predecessor. To sustain demanding tasks, the hardware supports up to 128 GB of dual-channel DDR5-6400 memory.

QuietFlow Thermals and Chassis Design
To manage temperatures inside the compact three-liter frame, ASUS deployed its QuietFlow Cooling system. The solution uses three 102mm fans alongside a dual vapor chamber, expanding CPU thermal coverage by 12% compared to the previous generation. Under maximum workloads, noise levels remain below 38 dBA. Storage thermals are managed by a dedicated SSD heatsink that drops operational temperatures from 72 °C to 59 °C, preventing thermal throttling during prolonged gaming or rendering sessions.

The metal chassis measures 282.4 x 189.5 x 56.5 mm and weighs 3.12 kg. A patented removable stand allows the system to sit horizontally or vertically, fitting environments ranging from desktop setups driving five 4K displays to living room configurations for 8K output. For the first time in the series, ASUS is offering a Moonlight White Edition alongside the traditional Black Edition.
Comprehensive I/O Connectivity
The chassis features a toolless design to allow quick access to internal components. Physical connectivity is distributed across the front and rear panels:
- Front I/O: Features one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port (20 G), one combo audio jack, and the power button.
- Rear I/O: Features one Thunderbolt 4 port, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports (10 G), two HDMI 2.1 ports, two DisplayPort 2.1 ports, a 2.5 G Realtek LAN port, DC input, a Kensington lock slot, and a 3.5 mm headset jack.
The system supports ASUS GlideX for wired or wireless cross-platform screen sharing and workspace control.
Pricing and Availability
The ROG NUC 16 Black Edition and Moonlight White Edition will launch in the Philippines within 2026. Official pricing and exact release dates will be posted via ASUS and ROG social media channels.
