Coursera launched Skill Tracks, a new data-driven learning solution designed to help companies rapidly develop employee skills for specific job roles. Using labor market data and AI, the platform creates tailored learning paths from foundational to expert levels.
The launch addresses a critical business challenge, with a recent World Economic Forum report finding that 67% of Filipino employers view skill gaps as their primary barrier to transformation.
Powered by Coursera’s “Career Graph,” Skill Tracks map the precise skills needed for high-demand jobs, ensuring training is directly linked to business outcomes. The initial tracks focus on four key areas: Software and Product, IT, Data, and Generative AI.
“Companies are deploying new technology faster than their people can keep pace,” said Coursera CEO Greg Hart. “Skill Tracks deliver a learning experience built around occupations and job tasks… ensuring training is relevant and immediately applicable.”

Key features include the ability for companies to integrate their own content, verifiable credentials for employees, and real-time analytics for leaders to track progress. Coursera plans to release additional Skill Tracks and skill diagnostics in the coming months.
