Levelplay is bringing a retro-inspired approach to modern PC cooling with the Newtro Series, one of its headline reveals at COMPUTEX 2026. Rather than chasing purely visual throwbacks, the lineup is built around tactile interaction, mechanical detailing, and design cues drawn from classic audio equipment, industrial controls, and retro computing hardware.
The series launches with two products: a liquid cooler and an air cooler.
The Newtro liquid cooler is rated for up to 350 W TDP and centers on a physical control knob built directly into the pump housing. The knob lets users adjust fan speed through a hardware-style interface, a deliberate departure from purely software-driven control. It also features custom stitched tubing sleeves for added durability and a more distinct look inside a build.

The Newtro air cooler handles up to 250 W TDP and carries the same design language into a tower format. It uses a 5 heatpipe direct contact base and is topped with a signature Levelplay orange cover. A high airflow fan completes the look while keeping thermals in check for gaming and productivity workloads.

Levelplay CEO Dennis Liu framed the Newtro Series as a response to what he sees as a gradual loss of character in PC DIY hardware. “With this year’s lineup, especially Newtro, we wanted to bring some of that feeling back. Not just through retro styling, but through physical interaction, industrial inspired details, and products that feel more memorable to actually use and build with.”
