LG Expands TV Lineup with Gallery TV and LG Gallery+

LG Electronics shifted the focus from traditional broadcasting to home aesthetics at CES 2026, officially launching its new art-centric Gallery TV. The debut marks a significant push by the company to treat the television as a piece of high-end decor rather than just a tech gadget.

Available in 55- and 65-inch models, the Gallery TV is built to mimic a physical canvas. The hardware features a slim, flush-mount design and customizable magnetic frames, allowing it to sit flat against a wall like a framed painting. To sell the illusion, LG equipped the units with a specialized matte screen designed to kill glare and reflections, alongside a “Gallery Mode” developed with museum curators to replicate the specific visual texture of original masterpieces.

Under the hood, the TV runs on LG’s MiniLED technology and the Alpha 7 AI Processor. While it handles 4K video and 9.1.2-channel virtual audio for standard viewing, its primary draw is the integrated LG Gallery+ service. This platform provides a library of over 4,500 pieces of art, ranging from classic fine art to modern animations, updated monthly.

The service also introduces a generative AI tool, letting owners create custom images or display personal photos. To round out the atmosphere, the TV includes built-in background tracks and Bluetooth streaming to turn the living room into a curated lounge.

“We want the screen to be a companion that adapts to our customers’ preferences,” said Park Hyoung-sei, president of the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company, during the event. He noted that the strategy is to give users more control over how technology occupies their personal living spaces.

The Gallery TV and the broader LG Gallery+ service—which is being rolled out across LG’s entire smart TV lineup—were the centerpieces of LG’s lifestyle display at the convention, signaling a clear trend toward “invisible” technology that blends into the background when not in use.
