Today, MediaTek introduced the Dimensity 9300+, the latest addition to its esteemed Dimensity chip series, promising enhanced performance and capabilities tailored for flagship mobile devices.
Engineered to turbocharge on-device generative AI tasks, the Dimensity 9300+ stands out with increased clock speeds, broader support for LLMs (Large Language Models), and a host of performance upgrades surpassing its predecessor, the Dimensity 9300.
JC Hsu, Corporate Senior Vice President at MediaTek, emphasized the Dimensity 9300+’s role in fostering a diverse ecosystem of generative AI applications. “With its extensive LLM compatibility and on-device LoRA Fusion, the Dimensity 9300+ empowers us to deliver rich AI experiences,” Hsu stated. “Its remarkable performance enhancements accelerate LLM inference, significantly improving user interaction.”
All-Big-Core Architecture
Powered by an innovative All-Big-Core architecture utilizing the 3rd generation TSMC 4nm process, the Dimensity 9300+ integrates advanced components including one Arm Cortex-X4 core operating at up to 3.4 GHz, alongside three Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores. Noteworthy is the inclusion of MediaTek’s latest NeuroPilot Speculative Decode Acceleration technology, enhancing AI processing efficiency and enabling the Dimensity 9300+ to support LLMs with up to 33B parameters.
Gaming enthusiasts will appreciate the Dimensity 9300+’s integration of a 2nd generation hardware raytracing engine and an Arm Immortalis-G720 GPU, delivering immersive gaming experiences with console-grade visuals. MediaTek’s HyperEngine technologies further elevate gaming performance, with features like MediaTek Adaptive Gaming Technology (MAGT) optimizing power efficiency and the Network Observation System (NOS) enhancing network stability.
In the realm of multimedia, the Dimensity 9300+ shines with its Imagiq 990 ISP, facilitating exceptional photo and video capture, even in low-light conditions. Equipped with an AI Semantic Analysis Video Engine and MiraVision 990, this chip ensures stunning visuals and content enhancement capabilities.
Catering to a spectrum of AI applications, the Dimensity 9300+ supports on-device LoRA Fusion, NeuroPilot LoRA Fusion 2.0, and a range of LLMs, empowering developers to innovate with text, images, music, and more. Furthermore, its 5G R16 modem with AI situational awareness ensures seamless connectivity across various scenarios, supporting up to 7Gbps downlink speeds.
