Noctua has expanded its chromax.black product line by introducing all-black versions of the NH-D9L and NH-L9x65 CPU coolers.
These new models maintain the excellent cooling performance and quiet operation of the original designs while sporting a sleek all-black appearance. Noctua’s CEO, Roland Mossig, highlights that these coolers are particularly popular among Small Form Factor system builders who value aesthetics as much as performance.
The NH-D9L chromax.black is designed for efficient cooling in compact spaces, standing at a height of only 110 mm. Its low profile allows for 3U compliance and makes it ideal for mini-ITX and Small Form Factor cases with parallel airflow paths to the motherboard. This cooler also ensures compatibility with RAM and PCIe slots due to its 95×95 mm footprint.
On the other hand, the NH-L9x65 chromax.black strikes a balance between larger coolers and ultra-compact options. It offers increased power with 65mm height and four heatpipes while retaining a 95×95 mm footprint, ensuring compatibility with RAM and PCIe slots.
Both coolers are equipped with Noctua’s NF-A9 and NF-A9x14 premium fans, which support automatic speed control via PWM for quiet operation. They come with Noctua’s SecuFirm2 multi-socket mounting system for Intel and AMD, NT-H1 thermal compound, and a 6-year manufacturer’s warranty.
