UnionBank Hackathon & Convention Happening at Manila & Cebu City
Union Bank of the Philippines is hosting the first ever U:HAC or UnionBank Hackathon and Convention in two of the country’s digital-savvy regions. The first leg will be held on August 6 & 7, 2016 at A Space Cebu, Crossroads, Gov. Cuenco Ave., Kasambangan, Cebu City; while the second leg is set on August 27 & 28, 2016 at the Megatrade Hall 3, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.
UnionBank has been at the forefront of the digital revolution being experienced by many industries including banking. It is one of the first Banks in the country that embraced digital early on in its operations given its goal of becoming a fully digitized Bank that provides SmartBanking to all of its customers. U:HAC is one of the major initiatives of the Bank in finding the next creative and innovative solutions in the digital world.
“We want to see new projects that have a potential to improve people’s lives in this digital age, especially get more ideas on how the younger population or the millennials would like to do banking in the future. We are passionate in our purpose to deliver unique multi-channel customer experience through digital platforms.,” UnionBank Senior Vice President and HR Director, Michelle E. Rubio said.
UnionBank is interested to meet and engage with you during the U:HAC events especially if you have unique, creative, ideas on digital solutions you want to share and showcase. Your ideas can center on the following topics: Banking or Banking in the Future, Climate Change, Pollution, Community Building, Disaster Resilience, Education, Poverty, Unemployment, Sustainability Building, and Healthcare. This is your chance to make your idea a reality and get rewards and recognition from the digital community and the public.
The grand winner for the U:HAC Cebu will receive P50,000 in cash and cloud credits from IPC. U:HAC is open to 3rd-5th year college students, working professionals, and freelancers.
