Biwin has officially announced the Amber CB500, the first CFexpress Type B memory card to receive the VPG800 certification from the CompactFlash Association. This certification guarantees a minimum sustained write speed of 800 MB/s, making it a reliable solution for filmmakers and content creators working with high-resolution formats like 8K RAW, uncompressed video, and high frame rates.
Leveraging the CFexpress 4.0 standard, the Amber CB500 offers impressive peak performance with read speeds of up to 3,750 MB/s and write speeds of up to 3,500 MB/s. These speeds support recording formats up to 12K RAW and drastically reduce data offloading times, streamlining the entire production workflow from shooting to editing.

Designed for professional use in demanding environments, the card features a durable aluminum alloy shell and an internal thermal conductive gel for effective heat dissipation during long recording sessions. It is engineered to be shockproof, drop-proof, and resistant to impacts, magnetic fields, and X-rays. The Amber CB500 is rated for operation in temperatures ranging from -12 °C to +72 °C.
The Biwin Amber CB500 CFexpress 4.0 Type B card is now available in select regions with capacities ranging from 128 GB to 1 TB.
