Kingston Expands Fury Renegade G5 Line with 8 TB Model

Kingston FURY, the high-performance division of Kingston Digital Inc., has announced a new high-capacity option for its flagship Kingston FURY Renegade G5 SSD line. The M.2 2280 drive, which recently received a “Editor’s Choice” award from PCWorld, is now available in an 8192 GB (8 TB) capacity.

This new 8 TB model is aimed at high-power users, including video editors, 3D rendering professionals, and gamers who require extensive storage for large files and game libraries without compromising on system responsiveness.

The Renegade G5 utilizes a PCIe Gen5 x4 controller and 3D TLC NAND to achieve its high-end performance. Kingston states the drive can reach sequential read/write speeds of up to 14,800/14,000 MB/s and deliver over 2 million IOPS.

“Whether for work or play, users need more power and space,” said Kingston. “We’re happy this 8 TB addition to Kingston FURY Renegade G5 SSD can provide high-power users and hardware enthusiasts both.”

The Kingston FURY Renegade G5 series is now available in capacities ranging from 1024 GB (1 TB) to the new 8192 GB (8 TB) model.
