Lenovo and Intel Expand Aura Edition AI PC Portfolio at CES

Lenovo is doubling down on its “Aura Edition” initiative, announcing a significant expansion of its AI PC portfolio. Developed in close collaboration with Intel, the latest generation of Aura Edition devices is powered by the new Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, aiming to unify personalized AI performance across both mobile and desktop form factors.

The expanded lineup spans Lenovo’s most popular sub-brands, bringing adaptive intelligence to the ThinkPad, Yoga, and ThinkCentre series. The new portfolio also moves beyond standard laptops, introducing the first Aura Edition all-in-one (AIO) desktops designed for both commercial and home use.

Defining the “Aura” Experience

The Aura Edition isn’t just about the hardware; it’s defined by a suite of AI-enabled “Smart” features co-engineered with Intel to streamline the user experience:

  • Smart Modes: These dynamically tune the system’s performance and environment settings based on the current task (e.g., focus mode, collaboration mode).
  • Smart Share: Allows for near-instant, cross-device media transfers, bridging the gap between smartphones and PCs.
  • Smart Care: Provides proactive, AI-driven support to troubleshoot issues and maintain system health before problems escalate.

“When we began working together on Aura Edition, it was a shared vision to create an incredibly intelligent PC experience… blending Lenovo’s design leadership with Intel’s AI performance at every level,” said Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan.

Intel Core Ultra Series 3

At the heart of these machines is the Intel Core Ultra Series 3 platform. These processors are built to handle complex AI workloads locally on the NPU (Neural Processing Unit), ensuring faster response times for AI tasks while maintaining power efficiency—a critical factor for the thin-and-light Yoga and ThinkPad models.
