LG Expands webOS with more Gaming Portal Titles

LG Electronics is growing its Gaming Portal, adding a fresh batch of titles that users can play directly on their Smart TVs without needing a console. The platform now boasts more than 4,000 cloud-based games and 600 casual titles, turning the living room screen into a versatile gaming hub.

New Major Titles and Partnerships

LG has teamed up with several leading developers to bring diverse experiences to the big screen:

• Just Dance Now: Through a partnership with Ubisoft, users can jump into choreographed routines using the LG Magic Remote. The remote’s motion sensors track movements to mirror the dance steps on screen.
• Voice-Controlled Games: Partnering with Volley, LG is introducing voice-AI entertainment like Jeopardy! and the music trivia hit Song Quiz.
• High-Speed Racing: In collaboration with Blacknut, Asphalt Legends Unite is now available. A unique “free with ads” model lets players access all cars and maps from the jump without needing in-game purchases.
• Story-Driven Adventure: My Little Puppy, published by Krafton, offers an emotional journey following a dog’s life through various relationships and reunions.

Award-Winning Indie Hits

The portal also features two standout titles from the recent LG webOS Hackathon:

1. Quest of Sunflower (Couchplay): The Grand Prize winner, featuring AI-generated storytelling and family-friendly adventure.
2. Signs of Magic (Lukas Klingsbo): The second-place winner, which turns the Magic Remote into a “wand.” Players use specific gestures to cast spells and battle monsters.

The LG Gaming Portal is currently available on LG Smart TVs and monitors (as well as third-party webOS TVs) running webOS 6.0 or later in 35 countries, including the US, UK, Australia, and Canada. Specific titles like Just Dance Now require webOS 22 or later.
