TEAMGROUP Launches P250Q Self-Destruct SSD

TEAMGROUPhas officially launched the P250Q Self-Destruct SSD, designed to provide unparalleled data protection for sensitive applications. The drive, which recently won the 2025 COMPUTEX Best Choice Award, integrates a patented independent destruction circuit to physically erase data from the Flash IC.

The P250Q employs a robust, dual-mode system that does either hardware or software erasure methods. An intelligent auto-resume feature also guarantees that data destruction will complete even if power is unexpectedly lost. For ease of use in critical situations, the SSD includes a simple one-click activation button and multi-stage LED indicators to monitor the erasure progress.

Built for demanding workloads in military, industrial automation, and AI, the P250Q delivers exceptional performance with a PCIe Gen 4×4 interface and NVMe 1.4 compliance, achieving read speeds of up to 7,000 MB/s. It is available in capacities from 256 GB to 2 TB.

TEAMGROUP also announced a new U.S. patent for its wide-temperature M.2 SSD technology, which ensures stable operation in extreme heat up to 105°C. This dual achievement highlights the company’s commitment to pioneering innovation in the industrial and high-security storage sectors.

TEAMGROUP also offers the T-CREATE EXPERT P35S, an external drive with similar features, though it lacks a software-based data destruction mode.
