XPG Brings Battery-Free Wireless Gear to COMPUTEX 2026

XPG Debuts wireless supercapacitor peripherals at COMPUTEX 2026.

ADATA XPG brought a growing hardware ecosystem to COMPUTEX 2026, but the most quirky story from its booth wasn’t a high-end component. Just a wireless keyboard and mouse.

The XPG Seeker wireless keyboard and XPG Slingshot wireless mouse look like standard entry-level gear at first glance. But at an estimated $70 for the pair, they ditch traditional batteries entirely in favor of a supercapacitor design.

By replacing lithium cells with an electrostatic charge system, XPG sidesteps the strict international shipping regulations and compliance costs that typically inflate wireless hardware prices.

Supercapacitor Endurance and Specifications

The most immediate consumer benefit of the supercapacitor design is charging speed. Rather than waiting hours to top up, the Seeker and Slingshot charge in minutes, bridging the gap between wired reliability and wireless portability.

Battery life holds up as well. The keyboard can stay operational for up to two weeks on a single charge under typical usage conditions, while the mouse delivers up to 42 hours of use. That’s about a week of use.

Market Positioning

XPG is known as a gaming brand, but at COMPUTEX, company reps explained that the Seeker and Slingshot combo is aimed at productivity pros and frequent travelers who value minimal downtime.

The low price does come with some compromises, though. Membrane help cut costs but also drain the capacitor more slowly than proper mechanical switches. I’m also not a fan of the plaid texture. It feels counterintuitive for the intended audience.

Retail pricing and regional availability for the pair have not yet been finalized.
