AMD has released its latest graphics driver, AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 25.10.2, bringing crucial day-one support for major upcoming game titles and new hardware.
The new WHQL-certified driver is now available for download and provides official support for the DirectX 12 versions of Battlefield™ 6 and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. This update ensures that Radeon graphics card owners are prepared for the best possible experience in these highly anticipated games at launch.
In addition to new game support, the 25.10.2 driver introduces support for the new AMD Ryzen™ AI 5 330 processor.
Work Graphs
A significant technical update in this release is the initial introduction of Work Graphs support for the Radeon™ RX 9000 series graphics products. Work Graphs is a graphics API feature that allows a GPU to dynamically schedule and process its own workloads without needing CPU intervention, enabling more efficient execution, reduced latency, and simplified synchronization for complex tasks like rendering or procedural generation.
The driver also expands its Vulkan API capabilities with the addition of numerous new extensions, including VK_EXT_shader_float8, VK_KHR_video_decode_vp9, and VK_AMDX_dense_geometry_format.
Key Issues Fixed in 25.10.2
The update addresses several bugs and performance issues reported by users:
- Gaming Crashes: Fixes for intermittent application crashes in The Last of Us Part II (on Radeon RX 7900 series), NBA 2K25 in MyCareer mode (on Radeon RX 9070 series), and FBC: Firebreak (on some Ryzen AI 300 and 8000 series processors).
- Stuttering: Resolved stuttering observed in Baldur’s Gate 3 (on Radeon RX 9000 and 7000 series) and with some VR headsets running at 80 Hz or 90 Hz refresh rates.
- Graphical Glitches: Corrected corruption issues, including missing scan lines in GTFO™ (on Radeon RX 7000 series), texture flickering in Serious Sam 4 (on Radeon RX 6000 series), and shadow corruption in VTOL VR.
- Security: This release also includes patches for several security vulnerabilities.
Known Issues
AMD noted that it is still working to resolve several outstanding issues, including:
- Intermittent crashes or driver timeouts in Cyberpunk 2077 when Path Tracing is enabled.
- Crashes or timeouts while playing Battlefield™ 6 on systems using the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370.
- Texture flickering in Battlefield™ 6 when using AMD Record and Stream.
- The Radeon Anti-Lag 2 option may be unavailable in Counter-Strike 2 when using DirectX 11.
The AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 25.10.2 driver is compatible with Radeon RX 5000, 6000, 7000, and 9000 series graphics cards, as well as various mobile Radeon GPUs. Gamers can now download the update from the AMD website.
