The local tech scene received a massive jolt of energy as the first-ever Consumer Tech Expo (ConTech Expo) 2025 concluded its three-day run, generating an impressive ₱19.8 million in sales from over 8,000 attendees. The event, held at the SMX Convention Center, signaled a strong appetite for hands-on tech experiences and exclusive deals in the country.
In a fitting move for a tech-forward event, the traditional ribbon-cutting was replaced with a futuristic opening ceremony. VIPs and organizers donned AI-powered augmented reality (AR) glasses from Rokid, officially launching an expo that was as much about experiencing the future as it was about seeing it.

The showroom floor was a vibrant hub of activity, featuring over 100 global and local brands including Apple, Canon, JBL, Nintendo, and PC Express. Attendees flocked to grab deals with discounts reaching up to 97%, while a ₱1 gadget auction created a constant buzz of excitement.

Beyond the massive sale, ConTech Expo focused heavily on visitor engagement. The event featured:
- 22 new product launches, giving attendees a first look at the latest devices hitting the Philippine market.
- Over 20 immersive tech zones where visitors could go hands-on with the newest gadgets.
- 19 “Tech Talk” sessions with industry leaders diving into topics like AI, content creation, gaming, and smart home integration.
The overwhelming success of its debut has cemented the expo’s place on the calendar. Organizers have already announced that the Consumer Tech Expo will return from September 4-6, 2026, at the same venue, promising an even bigger showcase of innovation.
