Design, Build and Connectivity
The AORUS FO32U2P is a good looking 32-inch gaming monitor with a build quality proportionate to its price tag. It is hefty too, weighing in at 8.53 kilograms with the stand included.
The rear-end of the FO32U2P reminds me of the ROG Swift PG32UCDM. Such design is popular or rather inherent to OLED displays, allowing them to feature a thinner footprint in general.
The GIGABYTE AOURUS FO32U2P offers a host of connectivity options. That includes the dual HDMI 2.1 ports, dual DisplayPort 1.4, a mini-DP port, and a USB-Type C port with support for DP Alt Mode. That means you could power and extend a notebook’s display with just a single cable – provided that the notebook will not require power above PD 65 W. The FO32U2P also comes with two 3.5 mm jacks for audio in and out, dual USB 3.1 ports, a Kensington lock, and a pair of 5 W stereo speakers.
Navigation is conveniently handled by a bottom mounted joystick along with a few buttons. Nothing to dislike here so far.
Ergonomics
The GIGABYTE AOURUS FO32U2P is a 32-inch monitor with a native resolution of 3840 x 2160, offering a healthy pixel density of 139.87 ppi. With a thoughtfully designed stand, this monitor can be mounted near a wall. If your desk has a depth of 60 cm, it should fit comfortably without any problems.
As for the OLED panel itself, viewing angles are awesome as expected. That, together with the stand’s tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustments, makes up for a very pleasing experience.
OSD Menu
The AORUS FO32U2P OSD features six primary menus, each offering up to three layers of sub-menus based on the complexity of the chosen settings. The first menu is Gaming, with options like Black Equalizer, Super Resolution, Display Mode, and FreeSync for customization.
The Picture menu allows you to select a preset and fine-tune its settings, such as brightness, contrast, and color temperature. Note that certain options may be inaccessible depending on the chosen preset.
The Display menu offers a load of options to play with the monitor’s input and output settings. This is where you’ll find the 5 input connectivity options, as well as the settings for the KVM and display daisy chaining.
Software
If you’d rather avoid using the joystick, you can download the GIGABYTE Control Center to manage your OSD settings. I didn’t test this feature with the AORUS FO32U2P, as I wasn’t aware of its compatibility at the time. Just something to consider if you prefer a desktop-based setup.
OSD Presets
The GIGABYTE AORUS FO32U2P includes nine picture presets, with Eco mode set as the default. For calibration, the sRGB setting was selected.

The AORUS FO32U2P comes with a proper VESA certified DisplayHDR True Black 400 and a peak of 1000 nits with HDR APL at 3% window. This monitor will definitely reach what VESA has specified, but it will not reach 1000 nits – even at a 1% window. Good news is, it still is good even at 827.49 nits peak. OLED and HDR combined is truly an experience that words alone cannot fully capture.
Screen Uniformity
The color uniformity of the AORUS FO32U2P is practically perfect.
The luminance uniformity is outstanding, showcasing the AORUS FO32U2P as a prime example of exceptional build quality and rigorous quality assurance in action.
