As part of its ongoing commitment to innovation and adapting to the changing needs of its customers, Globe has unveiled a new service that will allow Globe Prepaid customers to upgrade from a physical SIM to an eSIM without changing their current number.

“This new offering is integral to our initiative to promote wider eSIM adoption. We are not only meeting the digital demands of our customers but also leading them into the future of connectivity,” said Givielle Florida, Head of Globe Prepaid.

Requirements

The eSIM upgrade will be available for Globe Prepaid customers through the GlobeOne app, which includes an eSIM-compatibility check to ensure users’ devices are ready for the upgrade. Once purchased, the app provides a seamless download and installation process. The upgrade costs just Php 99.

How to Upgrade Globe SIM to eSIM

Once the service is available, follow these simple steps:

  1. Open the GlobeOne app.
  2. Navigate to SIM Hub > Change SIM > eSIM.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions on your device.
  4. Install the eSIM by scanning the QR code sent to your email.

After completing these steps, you can enjoy your new eSIM with the same mobile number.

This service launch comes after the successful introduction of eSIMs for Globe Prepaid subscribers earlier this year, ensuring a comprehensive digital experience for its customers.
