Kingston Technology has introduced a new form factor for its NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD lineup. In addition to the existing 2280 model, the NV3 is now available in a 2230 (22 x 30 mm) version, intended for laptops and handheld gaming consoles with limited internal space.
The NV3 2230 SSD offers storage capacities up to 2 TB and uses a Gen 4×4 NVMe controller, with read and write speeds of up to 6,000 MB/s and 5,000 MB/s, respectively.

Kingston stated the new form factor is intended to provide storage expansion options for various devices. The NV3 2230 is available in capacities ranging from 500 GB to 2 TB.

It comes with a one-year license for Acronis True Image for Kingston software and access to Kingston SSD Manager, which allows users to monitor drive health, update firmware, and securely erase data.
