Noctua has announced a new addition to its A-series lineup with the launch of a slim 60mm fan model, the NF-A6x15. Available in both 12 V and 5 V versions, the 15 mm-thick NF-A6x15 fan is designed to offer high-performance cooling in tight spaces where a slimmer profile is required.
This new fan joins the existing NF-A6x25 model, enhancing Noctua’s range of small-form-factor cooling solutions to meet a growing demand from various industrial and consumer markets.
The NF-A6x15 fan comes in multiple configurations, including models with 3-pin and 4-pin PWM connectors, catering to a wide array of applications from industrial equipment to 3D printing and custom DIY cooling setups. To further simplify integration, the 5V version includes Noctua’s OmniJoin™ adapter set, making it easy to connect the fan to non-standard headers. Additionally, it comes with a USB-A power adapter cable for running the fan on USB-powered devices, including power banks and host devices with USB ports.
“The NF-A6x25 has served our customers well over the years, but for specific devices and applications, a slimmer design was necessary. That’s where the NF-A6x15 steps in,” said Roland Mossig, CEO of Noctua. “This new model is expected to appeal to both industrial customers and end-users who need efficient cooling for 3D printers or custom projects.”
In conjunction with the new fan model, Noctua also unveiled the NA-SC1 Sx2, a set of two 3-way PWM splitter cables. These cables enable users to operate up to three fans from a single header and can be daisy-chained to control up to five fans simultaneously. According to Mossig, the NA-SC1 Sx2 is “perfect for customers who need multiple fans but aren’t looking to invest in an 8-port hub.” He highlighted the cables’ versatility, suitable for PC cooling as well as various home ventilation projects.
The new NA-SC1 cables are designed with high-quality, black fiberglass silicone sleeving for durability, ensuring they integrate well into both PC setups and other ventilation applications. These cables can be used seamlessly alongside other Noctua components, such as the NA-FC1 fan controller or NV-PS1 power supply, for optimal cooling solutions.
