GIGABYTE has released the GO27Q24G, a 27-inch QHD (2560×1440) gaming monitor built on an LG Display WOLED panel. Aimed squarely at competitive esports, the display pairs a fast 240 Hz refresh rate with Micro Lens Array (MLA+) technology to address traditional OLED brightness limitations.
Panel Performance and Brightness
The four-sided borderless monitor features a “RealBlack Glossy” coating designed to reduce ambient reflections. The combination of the LG WOLED panel and MLA+ allows the display to reach 275 nits of typical brightness and up to a 1,300-nit peak in HDR modes. That’s a little lower compared to the flagship MO27Q28G gaming monitor we’ve tested earlier this year.
The GO27Q24G covers 99% of the DCI-P3 wide color gamut and carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification for deep contrast and shadow accuracy. For tear-free performance, it supports both NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium.
HyperNits and Software Tools
GIGABYTE introduced the proprietary “HyperNits” technology, which offers High and Medium presets to boost overall HDR scene brightness based on ambient room lighting while preserving highlight detail. For competitive gameplay, the GO27Q24G includes several firmware-level tools:
- Tactical Switch 2.0: Allows instant switching between resolutions and aspect ratios.
- Ultra Clear: A motion blur reduction tool for fast-paced titles.
- Black Equalizer: Adjusts gamma to expose opponents hidden in dark areas.
Burn-In Protection and Comfort
To mitigate panel degradation, the monitor utilizes “AI OLED Care,” a suite of algorithm-driven burn-in prevention tools. It also features UL-certified eye care protection and an OLED VRR Anti-Flicker tool, which stabilizes voltage during variable refresh rate shifts to eliminate display flickering.
