NVIDIA at CES has unveiled its most advanced lineup of consumer GPUs to date — the GeForce RTX 50 Series — designed to empower gamers, creators, and developers with unprecedented performance and AI-driven innovation.

A Leap Forward with NVIDIA Blackwell Architecture

The RTX 50 Series GPUs, powered by NVIDIA’s new Blackwell architecture, introduce revolutionary features like fifth-generation Tensor Cores and fourth-generation RT Cores. These advancements enable cutting-edge technologies such as neural shaders, digital human rendering, and enhanced lighting and geometry for unparalleled visual fidelity.

Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, hailed Blackwell as “the most significant computer graphics innovation since programmable shading.”

GeForce RTX 5090: The Pinnacle of Performance

At the forefront is the flagship RTX 5090 GPU, boasting 92 billion transistors and delivering over 3,352 trillion AI operations per second (TOPS). This powerhouse achieves up to twice the performance of the previous-generation RTX 4090, thanks to innovations like DLSS 4, which amplifies frame rates by up to 8x using AI-generated frames.

DLSS 4 also introduces the first real-time application of transformer models in graphics, enhancing stability, detail, and anti-aliasing across supported games and applications.

AI-Driven Enhancements for Gaming and Development

The RTX 50 Series introduces groundbreaking technologies such as RTX Neural Shaders, which integrate small AI networks into programmable shaders for lifelike materials and lighting. Features like RTX Neural Faces and advanced ray-traced hair and skin rendering promise a new era of realism in game characters and environments.

The GPUs also support autonomous game characters through NVIDIA ACE technologies, enabling AI-driven companions and enemies in games like PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and MIR5.

Next-Generation Performance for Laptops

GeForce Blackwell GPUs bring desktop-level power to laptops, offering a 40% boost in battery efficiency with Max-Q technology. Available starting in March, these GPUs ensure gamers and creators can experience top-tier performance on the go without compromising design or portability.
